Fits most men; typical off-the-rack fit; ~11.5” rise for a 34” waist; available in all waist sizes.
Short Rise
Ideal for shorter men; reduces excess fabric in the crotch/seat; ~10.75” rise for a 34” waist; available in even sizes from 30”-44”.
Long Rise
Best for taller men or long torsos; ~12.25” rise for a 34” waist; available in even sizes from 36”-48” and select big & tall styles.

Returns & Exchanges:
Items may be returned within 30 days of purchase. All items returned must be in new condition (unworn, unlaundered, unaltered).
Items that are hemmed/cuffed are not eligible for return or exchange. Sale items are not eligible for return or exchange.

Berle and Charleston Khaki Trousers and Shorts run true to size. If you don’t know your waist size, please refer to our how to measure guide below. We always recommend that first time shoppers leave their trousers UNFINISHED so they may return them if they do not fit the way they like.
We pride ourselves on offering the broadest assortment of sizes to accommodate almost every gentleman. Waist sizes from 30-44 including in all ranges and a big and tall offering in our core fabrics and styles to rival any other brand.

How to Measure
Waist size
With a measuring tape, wrap the tape around your waist where you normally wear your pants. Add 1” to the measurement and order that size.
Inseam
With a measuring tape, hold one end at the top of the inner pant leg seam (the crotch) and measure all the way down, along the inside seam to the bottom of the trouser or pant.
You can also perform this measurement by laying a pair of your best fitting trousers flat on a table and measuring from the crotch intersection seam, down along the inside seam to the bottom of the trouser. Keep the tape tight against the seam.
What Rise Should You Wear?
Many of our Berle and Charleston Khaki trousers and pants are available in 3 different rise lengths, Regular, Short and Long. Berle’s “rise” measurement is taken from the crotch seam of the pant up to the bottom of the waistband.
How Do You Know What Is Right For You?
Regular Rise: Regular rise is the most common rise and will usually fit average size men. If you are used to buying your pants and trousers off the rack, and they fit well we recommend our regular rise. For a 34” waist our “regular rise” measurement will generally be around 10”. Regular rise is offered in every waist size.
Short Rise: Short rise is best for shorter than average men. The shorter rise measurement cleans up extra fabric in the crotch and seat areas of the pant that would be visible if wearing a longer rise. For a 34” waist our “short rise” measurement will generally be around 9”. Short rise is offered in select trousers and pants beginning at a 30” waist up to a 44” waist, even waist sizes only.
Long Rise: Long rise is best for taller than average men or men who have a longer torso and a shorter inseam. For a 34” waist our “long rise” measurement will generally be around 10 ¾”. Long rise is offered in select trousers and pants beginning at a 36” waist up to 48” waist, even waist sizes only. Long rise is also available in select big & tall trousers and pants.
